City Council to Hear Recommendations on Confederate Iconography

The Connecting Fairfax City for All stakeholder advisory group will present recommendations to City Council during a public meeting at 7 p.m. at the Sherwood Community Center, located at 3740 Old Lee Highway in Fairfax. 

The public is welcome to attend this in-person meeting, but there will not be an opportunity for the public to speak. Council will be taking no action at this meeting. The meeting will not be televised and there will not be a virtual link. Copies of the advisory group’s report will be available at the meeting.

Lee Highway, Old Lee Highway, Mosby Road, Plantation Parkway, Confederate Lane, Raider Lane, Ranger Road, Reb Street, Scarlet Circle, Singleton Circle, Traveler Street, Mosby Woods Drive, Stonewall Avenue, and Lee Street

A 60-day public comment period for new street names period will run May 11 through July 11.
