Rust Road/Westmore Drive Sidewalk

The City of Fairfax has developed a concept for a sidewalk on the Rust Road between Main Street and Westmore Drive and on Westmore Drive between Rust Road and Fairfax Street. This proposed project would connect to the existing sidewalk on Fairfax Street and provide a continuous sidewalk between the residential neighborhood and commercial destinations. It would also provide stormwater drainage improvements and improve safety for all road users. 

The Fairfax City Council needs community input to determine whether this project should proceed. If there is consensus to proceed, the council may direct staff to seek funding for design and construction of this project.
