About the Project

This project will construct new sidewalks and curb and gutter on the north side of Dwight Avenue between Roberts Road and Orchard Drive. It also includes improvements to the intersections at Dwight Avenue and Roberts Road and Dwight Avenue and Orchard Drive.

Sidewalks will improve pedestrian safety, and intersection improvements will improve safety and visibility for all road users. Curb and gutter will contain stormwater runoff to the roadway and prevent it from flowing onto private property.

Project Background

Pedestrian and stormwater management improvements were requested by residents in this neighborhood through the Residential New Concrete Sidewalk Program.

This project was included in the city’s FY2024-25 Two-Year Transportation Program, adopted by the city council on June 13, 2023. The council then endorsed the funding application on September 12, 2023.

Funding became available and design was initiated for both projects in FY 2026. Construction is anticipated in 2028-2029.
