Move Fairfax City Steering Committee Application
Are you passionate about transportation safety and pedestrian issues? The City is seeking applications from residents to serve on the Steering Committee for the Move Fairfax City planning project. This project will develop three plans – a citywide transportation Safety Action Plan, a citywide Pedestrian Master Plan, and an Old Town Fairfax Circulation Study. This has also been referred to as the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) project, since these plans are funded with federal Safe Streets for All funding. Going forward, this project will be referred to as Move Fairfax City.
Please complete this brief questionnaire to apply for one of the two at-large seats on the Move Fairfax City steering committee. Applications are due by 5pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Committee purpose and expectations:
- The committee will advise the project team on the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Move Fairfax City plans.
- The committee will provide input on a variety of project elements and processes, including (but not limited to) plan goals and needs, public engagement process, recommended future actions, and implementation priorities.
- The committee is anticipated to meet in person approximately 6 times between summer 2025-fall 2026. Meeting dates and locations are to be determined.
