The FY22-23 Two Year Transportation Program was adopted by city council on June 22, 2021.

Transportation projects take a long time to implement. Construction activity visible today is the result of years of planning. That means projects being discussed today will be built six to eight years from now. The city has developed a list of specific projects the city wishes to submit for regional, state, and federal funding over the next two years. These projects include bicycle, pedestrian, trail, transit, intersection, and roadway improvements.

Recommended projects balance local and regional transportation needs, improve connectivity, and facilitate livability.

Please review the presentation (projects are listed on page 25) and use the tools below to post comments, ask questions, and share ideas. Note: The program does not include locally funded projects, such as residential sidewalk improvements, which are programmed annually using local funding.

The bike lanes on University Drive are a must. They have been talked about for years. Everyone complaining about traffic should vote for this. If you want people to get out of their cars and ride their bikes for short in City trips the infrastructure for them to feel safe doing so needs to be there.
South Street extension has also been proposed for years and would be a huge help for getting around downtown, especially with a light there. Will help with pedestrian circulation too.
